Project Overview
Project Requirements
The client’s requirement was to develop a game that could enable players to earn real-world rewards through play-to-earn. BloxBytes game designers leveraged blockchain technology’s integrity to create in-game items and NFTs. Despite sudden spikes in new users, we decided to create a new economic structure that would allow the game to have a controlled entry price. In the first phase, we identified that a Blockchain network was required in the game ecosystem to ensure transparency, security, and low transaction fees. Additionally, we had to develop and deploy smart contracts that would allow the admin to mint accessories-based NFTs.
The requirement was to develop two NFTs; Game NFTs - Players, and Gaming Assets. For the game itself, the client required a governance token, for which we had to select the reliable and right protocol. The game should have its own marketplace which facilitates users in selling, buying and auctioning NFT collections activities. Additionally, the platform should support multiple wallets; metamask, and fortmatic. Lastly, we needed to build other features and options for gamers and futbaler alike.
BloxBytes Solutions
In order to make a new generation play-to-earn game model, we gathered client requirements and then evaluated them so we could propose solutions. We decided to use Polygon Blockchain in the game ecosystem which would ensure transparency, security, and low transaction fees. In addition, we deployed several smart contracts on the project: ERC721 which would allow users to mint their own non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and ER1155 would enable administrators to mint accessories-based NFTs.
We also created Futbala governance token (Clash) for that we choose a reliable protocol - a new ERC20 token, that would allow users to vote on decisions related to the future development roadmap, proposals of the DAO (which include voting for or against high-value assets within Clash) and more. The total supply cap was 420 million. The marketplace we developed would allow users to buy, sell, and auction NFTs and in which most of the soccer trading takes place and fees are charged for each transaction. It also supports several different kinds of wallets like Metamask and Fortmatic. Furthermore, the game offers a wide range of options and features to the user.
Features of the Platform
Mint New Option
The user can mint 3 types of Futbalers basic, advanced, and elite scouting sessions.
Token Swapping
The user can swap the supported token DAI with the in-game token Clash.
Training Sessions (NFT) Rewards
Players can obtain NFT rewards via quest, match reward or player’s stadium.
Cheers (Meta)
Users can obtain Cheers (Consumables) through daily quests, matches, and their stadium.
Rare Skills
As the player’s experience increases, he will be able to access increasingly rare skills.
Results - This is where BloxBytes comes in
Futbala is a new-generation feature-rich game that has training sessions and improves in-game skills. In addition, gamers receive tokens for each match they play, as well as rewards such as training sessions or skill improvement tokens, which are used to boost certain aspects of the game’s mechanics. As a result, a revenue stream is generated by Futbaler minting fees so that each user can start a scouting session by paying the Scouting Fee. At the end of which, if successful—a new young Futbaler will be generated and added to their team roster; along with receiving an increased weekly salary based on how strong they are and what skills they possess.
We kept transaction fees at 4.9%—lower than the industry standard of 5%. During the game, sponsors will be able to advertise their products by putting logos on players’ uniforms and brands can also purchase ad space during the match itself by buying advertising spots in a virtual stadium. The earnings from the day’s sales collected through the marketplace, salaries, sponsorships and advertisements are allocated 60% in user Reward and 20% Futbala Reserve. The remaining 20% will go to Futbala Company.
